Scottish Amateur Cup Final match winner, Mark Brown, 23, has been signed on a two-year deal with Clyde FC. Mark of Eddlewood Amateurs started his career at Ibrox but injury thwarted his progress until recently. In May he scored a spectacular winning goal in the Scottish Amateur Cup Final at Hampden Park and afterwards his boss, Paul Brogan, commented:- "Mark is a great player who was unlucky with injuries. Clyde have shown an interest in him recently and I would imagine he will end up there and good luck to him. What a way to go though with a wonderful goal." The Clyde manager said: "Mark can operate in midfield or at the back so he's another good person to have in the squad. "I'll continue to pick away at the amateur and junior ranks, there are plenty of guys there that really want it. Whether other clubs want to sign them or not, we will. If I see that they've got the enthusiasm and something we can work with then that's what we'll do." Copyright Clyde FC. Newslink: http://www.clydefc.co.uk/news/2008/06/04/2748/ |
